UCLA Health
UCLA Health Cyber Attack


On July 17, 2015, UCLA Health revealed that it had been the victim of a cyber attack. At this time, while it is possible, there is no evidence that the attackers actually accessed or aquired any individual's personal or medical information. UCLA is working with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and has launched its own investigation.

In addition, UCLA has set up a website (www.myidcare.com/uclaprotection) with information about the attack. If you prefer to speak to someone about the incident, please call UCLA at 877-534-5972 Monday through Friday between the hours of 6 am to 6 pm pacific time.

Anthem Blue Cross
ANTHEM BLUE CROSS CYBER ATTACK

Anthem Blue Cross was recently the target of a sophisticated cyber attack that compromised the personal information of many MPI Participants. Some of Anthem’s partner and affiliated health plans across the country were also affected. To date, these include:

  • Blue Shield (Blue Cross/Blue Shield companies in Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Virginia, Wisconsin)
  • Premera (Premera Blue Cross, Premera Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alaska and affiliate brands Vivacity and Connexion Insurance Solutions, Inc. in Alaska, Oregon and Washington)
If your personal information was compromised, you will receive a letter from Anthem - or from its affiliates - with specific instructions about how you may receive free Identity Repair services or sign-up for free Credit Monitoring.
